Super-resolution and enhanced 3D imaging of blood microcirculation

Using acoustic-resolution PA imaging, our 3D real-time imager under development will be associated with new reconstruction algorithms to achieve super-resolution and tackle the problem of visibility in PA imaging. With an academic collaboration (IAB), our first aim is to improve the imaging of the vasculature in the chicken embryo (see Fig.3) and in the murine model. PA spectroscopy sequences will enable the quantification of oxygen saturation and identify other specific tissues such as atherosclerotic plaques. After the evaluation of the performances of our system in several organs, we aim at building new projects in collaboration with biologists and clinicians.
