Yearly meeting 2015: May 18-19
.
This year the meeting will take place on May 18-19 at Château d’Herbelon (Treffort, Isère), on the Monteynard lakeside.
Main theme :
Dynamics and collective effects in simple and complex media
Presentation :
DYSCO is a federative research structure (structure fédérative de recherche) whose acronym stands for "DYnamics of COmplex Systems" (DYnamique des Systèmes COmplexes). It focuses on current research topics in complex fluids, biophysics, nonlinear systems, mechanics and geomaterials. The common theme is the problem of complex rheologies in fluids and solids, which is ubiquitous in several disciplines as physics, mechanics, geophysics and mathematics. A recurring topic is the biomimetism of cellular dynamics, focusing on simple but controlled systems, as phospholipidic vesicles, and increasing step by step their degree of complexity in order to mimic the viscoelastic behavior of real living cells.
The federative research structure DYSCO organises a monthly seminar as well as a yearly meeting.
