Structural and functional biomedical imaging

PIs : M. Canepari, A. Gourrier, P. Moreau

This section is specific to ex-vivo tissue quantitative imaging in a biomedical context (i.e. on living tissues or biopsies) focused on two areas of expertise : brain and mineralized tissues.

Functional neuron imaging

Native-neuron imaging from brain slices is an area of expertise of the team, who studies physiological excitability relying on the synergistic activity of several Na + , K + and Ca 2+ channel (...)

Ultrastructural analysis of mineralized tissues

Identifying sub-microscopic scale structural markers of bone diseases is a key step in deciphering their functional (e.g. biomechanical) mechanisms. Based on the developments in synchrotron X-ray (...)
